1 | The Rules Printed in this Booklet and the Interpretation and Enforcement are the Responsibility of IMSA Race Officials and Our Decisions are Final. |
2 | The Participant Agrees to Become Familiar with the Rules in this Book and Abide by these Rules at All Times and will be Required to by Signing the IMSA Membership Application. |
3 | The Officials of IMSA may Change the Race Format of the Race for that Night to Speed Up the Program for the Track in General. |
4 | The Rules Written in this Booklet are for Upright Mini Sprints and 600CC Upright Mini Sprints Only. No Other Class or Type of Car will be Permitted to Compete in Any IMSA said Event. |
| GENERAL RULES | |
| 1 | The Driver will be Required to Be a Full Member of IMSA (Paid Member) to Accumulate Points and to Display the IMSA Member Decal and Series Sponsor Decal on Your Car - This Will Be Required at All IMSA Race Events |
| 2 | Membership Fee for the 2009 Season will be $100.00 for the Driver - The Membership Fees Will Go Directly to the 2009 Points Fund to be Divided Up Between the Top 10 in Points at the Awards Banquet |
| INSPECTIONS | |
| 1 | We IMSA Officials have the Right to Inspect Any Car at Any Race Event to Ensure Safety of the Car is Okay. |
| 2 | The Top 5 Cars from the A-Main Feature Event Must Cross the IMSA Scales or the Track Scales at the Conclussion of the Event before Going to the Pit Area - Failure to do so will Result in Disqualification |
| 3 | IMSA Officials May Conduct Random Engine Inspection at Any Race Event after the Feature is Over |
| 4 | If a Car is Found Illegal - Due to Weight - Fuel or Engine Infractions - The Loss of All Money and Points for the Nights Racing Event will Result - IMSA Officials will Determine at that Time if any Further Action Should Be Taken |
| RACE PROCEDURE | |
| 1 | IMSA Will Abide by the Track We are at on the Prcedure of the Nights Events and How They Run the Program |
| 2 | The Participating Track will Determine the Nights Race Starts and Restarts - All Drivers will Comply with these Rules Set by the Track |
| 3 | THE CAR On the Pole - IMSA Would Like a Nice Medium Slow Start at the Beginning of the Race - Failure to do so May Mean Moving the Front Row Back One Row |
| 4 | A Single File Restart will always be Used - Nose to Tail - NO Passing will be Allowed Until the Point on the Track Determined by the Track Officials for that Night of Racing - Failure to do so will Result in Penalties by the IMSA Officials after the Said Event |
| 5 | NO Crew Member will be Allowed on the Track when a Yellow Caution or Red Flag is Displayed - Track Officials Only - And the Only Time You May Go on the Track is If the Officials of the Said Track Gives You the Okay |
| 6 | On a Caution - Hold Your Spot - Most Tracks Go Back to the Last Completed Lap - Track Officials will get Back to Your Official Running Position |
| 7 | If You Cause a Delay in the Program for Refusing to Go to the Position You are Appointed to May Result in Being Sent to the Pits - The Track in General will Determine the Number of Times a Caution Flag is Displayed for Your Car in that Event Before You are Sent Off - Usually 2 Times |
| 8 | All Car will have a Number on Both Sides of the Wing and Tail Tank and be Large Enough for the Scorers to Read - Any Car that has the Same Number as Another Car will be Required to Place an X or Single Digit Next to the Number - NO Duplicate Numbers Allowed |
| LINE UPS and POINTS | |
| 1 | The Driver Will Be Required to Draw a PEA at the Sign-In Table Prior for the Nights Events to Dtermine Heat Race Line Ups - Failure to do so will Result in Starting in Back of a Heat Race |
| 2 | The Number of Heats will be Determined by the Car Count for the Nights Events |
| 3 | Heat Race Line-Ups will be Determined by the Pea Draw for the Nights Events - Lowest Pea Number Drawn will Start on the Pole of Heat One - Next Lowest Pea Number will Start on the Pole of Heat Two - The Third Lowest Pea Number will Start on the Outside of Row 1 of Heat One and the Fourth Lowest Pea Number will Start on the Outside of Row 1 of Heat Two - And So on Down the Line |
| 4 | If Only One Heat Race is Run - The Top 8 Drivers will Report to the Sign-In Table to Re-Draw for the First 4 Rows of the Feature Event - The Cars that Finish Behind the Top 8 will be Lined Up in the Order they Finished - If Two Heats are Run - The Top 4 from Each will Re-Draw for the Feature Event - The Cars that Finished in the 5th. Position will Start in Row 5 and So On By Your Heat Finish |
| 5 | If a (B) Main is Required - IMSA Officials will Determine the Number of Cars who will go to the Feature from the Heat Races - If the Field is Over 20 Cars - A (B) Main will be Run and the Top 4 Cars will go to the Feature Event - The B Main will be Lined Up Heads Up by the way You Finished Your Heat Race |

| SAFETY RULES | |
| 1 | Fire Retardent Drivers Suit - Shoes and Gloves in Good Condition are Required - Also Drivers Neck Brace or Head Restraint System and Arm Restraints are Required |
| 2 | A 5 Point Seat-Belt and Shoulder Harness with a Sub-Belt is Required - The Belts Must Be Properly and Safely Installed - IMSA Officials will Look at These from Time to Time for Wear |
| 3 | All Cars will have a Kill-Switch within the Drivers Reach when Arm Restraints are On - is Required |
| 4 | FUEL SHUT OFF in Bright Letters is Required by the Shut -Off Valve - THe Letters Must Be Visible for TracK Officials - Shut-Off Valve is Usually Located on the Right Side Rear of the Car |
| 5 | Fuel Cell or Tail Tank is Mandatory |
| 6 | CAR WEIGHTS - If You are Running a 1000CC Motor - Your Weight Will Be 910 Pounds with the Driver Anything Over the Stock 1000CC Motor - Your Weight Will Be 950 Pounds with the Driver 750cc upright cars 850 lbs w/driver after the race 600cc uprught cars 850 lbs w/driver after the race If You are Under Your Required Weight Rule - You Will Be Dis-Qualified |
| 7 | All Cars Must Start and Take Off Under Their Own Power - We Will Push You for One Event and the Next Time You Must Have the Problem Fixed |
